I have loved babies ever since I can remember. I have worked with newborns and children since I was 14 years old. I was a full time Nanny at the age of 18 for three years for a family with four beautiful little children. Soon after that, my daughter was born and all of the experience as a Nanny helped prepare me for motherhood. My son was born three years later and that is when I decided that I wanted to start a career that would allow me to continue to work with babies in a new capacity.
I found an amazing instructor, Sandra Stine Tallbear, a Certified Nurse Midwife, and she taught and trained me to be a Birth Doula. I realized that this was exactly what I was born to do, besides being a Mommy! While I was training for this career, I also decided that if I was a massage therapist, I could do prenatal massages on expectant mothers AND be a part of the birth experience as well. Massage school happened simultaneously with my doula work. It was all coming together. I wanted to add the final layer to my list of expertise, so I got my certification to become an Infant Massage Instructor. This allows me to be with mothers along every step of their journey. The satisfaction of helping ALL women of various ages and backgrounds from athletes, business professionals, stay-at-home-moms, expectant mothers, to retired and on-the-go grandmothers is why I am passionate about what I do.
This has been a dream come true. I have been following my dreams for 18 years and I have experienced some amazing memories. I feel so blessed to have met so many incredible and strong women along the way. This is my way of giving back to the world and leaving women feeling loved, encouraged, and empowered.
I look forward to creating new memories with women and babies in the future!
